TechFlow news, November 24 — According to Business Insider, Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn, published an op-ed in the Financial Times stating that if Elon Musk serves as an advisor to Trump's new administration on AI-related legal matters, his advisory role could create serious conflicts of interest.
Hoffman warned that if Musk leverages his advisory position to secure government contracts for xAI, target other AI companies, or restrict exports, it would undermine U.S. technological, economic, and cultural security and competitiveness. He also expressed concern over a potential isolationist AI policy under a Trump administration, which he believes would hinder technological collaboration with global allies.
