Apple has confirmed that two zero-day vulnerabilities (CVE-2024-44308, CVE-2024-44309) in its macOS system are currently being widely exploited by hackers, prompting the company to urgently release security updates for iOS 18.1.1, macOS Sequoia 15.1.1, and iOS 17.7.2. These two vulnerabilities were discovered by Google's Threat Analysis Group (TAG) and involve JavaScriptCore and WebKit, potentially enabling arbitrary code execution and cross-site scripting attacks.
