TechFlow news — On November 18, according to Cointelegraph, Canaan (Jianan Technology) founder and CEO N.G. Zhang recently revealed in an interview that the company plans to launch its Mini-series household mining rig by the end of this year, with a maximum power output of approximately 800W. The device will use the latest chips, achieving up to 40T of computing power, and will also feature heating capabilities.
Zhang stated that last quarter's shipments of the previously released Avalon Nano3 series household mining rigs exceeded 10,000 units. He believes that household mining products could eventually account for 20% of the overall mining market, significantly enhancing the security of the Bitcoin network.
Looking back over the past decade, Zhang noted that from the first-generation Avalon miner with 66Ghs computing power and 700W power consumption, to the 15th-generation A1566 with over 200,000 Ghs computing power and 3,600W power consumption, miner performance has improved approximately 3,000-fold, while energy efficiency has increased nearly 600-fold. Currently, the A1566 miner achieves 210THs computing power, with some high-end models reaching energy efficiency below 17J/TH.
