TechFlow news, on November 18, according to Bitcoin.comNews, new data from proptech company Enlace shows that in 2024, real estate transactions paid with cryptocurrency in Spain increased by 15% year-on-year. Major cities such as Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia accounted for 60% of the country's property transactions conducted via crypto payments.
The report notes that advantages of cryptocurrency payments—such as faster fund settlement and lower international transfer costs—have driven this trend. Enlace estimates that around 6% of real estate transactions in Spain involved cryptocurrency payments in 2024.
