The two have invited high-IQ individuals committed to small-government reforms to join the department, requiring them to work over 80 hours per week voluntarily. Musk shared on his X account the recruitment announcement from the newly created @DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) account, as well as other posts referencing it, commenting: "Indeed, this will be grueling work, will make many enemies, and pays zero. What a great deal!"
