TechFlow news — On November 15, according to Jinshi Data, U.S. President-elect Trump said Thursday that Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency will release reports on its work streamlining the federal government. Speaking at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, Trump said: "They will produce individual reports, and ultimately one comprehensive report." This marks Trump's first new details about the group's reporting since announcing it earlier this week.
On Tuesday, Trump stated the group would provide "advice and guidance from outside the government" to streamline operations, cut regulations, reduce spending, and restructure federal agencies. Both Trump and Musk have claimed the group will significantly cut budgets. However, the U.S. Constitution grants Congress authority over the federal budget. Congress may choose to accept or ignore recommendations from external groups such as the proposed efficiency task force.
