TechFlow reports, citing Blockworks, that during a panel discussion at Devcon in Bangkok, Thailand, Vitalik Buterin, Stephen Goldfeder, Ben Jones, and Jesse Pollack discussed challenges facing Ethereum and its rollup-centric roadmap. Vitalik stated that currently every time users operate across multiple chains, custom solutions are required. The ideal Ethereum experience should resemble Web2 credit card usage, where everything connects seamlessly in the background. "If Ethereum cannot reach this level of user experience, it will lose to whatever can achieve it."
Stephen Goldfeder emphasized that users should not be burdened by infrastructure complexity and advocated for a "unified Ethereum," envisioning seamless cross-chain transitions within the ecosystem. Vitalik Buterin also highlighted the need to simplify cross-chain asset transfers. Ultimately, the panel outlined a shared mission: enhancing user experience without compromising Ethereum's decentralized ethos, aiming to build an ecosystem centered around users rather than chains.
