TechFlow reports on November 7 that, according to Bloomberg, following Donald Trump's victory in the U.S. presidential election, the combined net worth of the world's top ten billionaires surged by a record $63.5 billion in a single day—the largest one-day gain since the inception of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index in 2012.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and the world's richest person, saw his wealth increase by $26.5 billion in one day, making him the biggest beneficiary. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Oracle chairman Larry Ellison were also among the major winners.
Billionaires from the cryptocurrency industry similarly benefited. The net worth of Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Binance founder Changpeng Zhao rose significantly. Notably, Zhao’s fortune increased to $52.7 billion.
