TechFlow news, November 1 — According to Cointelegraph, the latest "2024 Cryptocurrency Awareness and Perception Survey" released by cryptocurrency exchange Paribu reveals that crypto has become the third most preferred investment instrument among Turkish investors. The survey interviewed 2,002 individuals familiar with cryptocurrencies and 541 active traders. Results show that 56% of respondents ranked gold as their top investment choice, followed by foreign exchange, with cryptocurrencies ranking third, favored by approximately 30% of investors.
The data indicates that crypto's investment preference has surpassed real estate. Compared to 2023, preference for real estate investment dropped from 30% to 26%, while interest in stocks and mutual funds rose from 13% to 18%. Nergis Nurcan Karababa, Research Content Manager at Paribu, stated that transaction speed, accessibility, and high return potential are key factors driving user participation in the crypto market. Notably, cryptocurrency awareness in Turkey has surged from 16% in 2020 to 99% today, yet 72% of respondents said they do not understand blockchain technology.
