TechFlow news, October 31 — According to The Block, data from Arkham Research shows that on October 30, the U.S. government converted over 82,000 seized ANT tokens from Alameda Research into Ethereum via AragonDAO's redemption address. Approximately 209.199 ETH, worth about $556,000, has been received so far. This marks the first movement of funds from this government wallet in nearly two years, with its current total holdings of crypto assets valued at around $974,000.
Previously, in November 2023, the Swiss nonprofit Aragon Association voted to dissolve and allocated 86,343 ETH for exchange into ANT tokens. Users can complete their ANT token redemptions by November 2, 2024, after which all remaining ANT tokens will be destroyed. In this transaction, the government wallet first received 0.003 ETH from Coinbase as gas fees, then conducted the swap through an address starting with 0xb0692.
