TechFlow news, October 29 — According to CoinDesk, while traditional financial institutions in Hong Kong are reducing their office spaces, Web3 giant Animoca Brands is choosing to expand. The company's new headquarters spans 28,000 square feet (approximately 2,601 square meters), nearly four times larger than before, located in the emerging tech park in the Southern District of Hong Kong Island.
Evan Auyang, President of Animoca Brands, said that Hong Kong is currently a tenant's market, allowing the company to seize this opportunity to build collaborative workspaces that will not only serve its own needs but also support the development of its portfolio companies. Although the company underwent layoffs in 2023 and reduced the target size of its metaverse fund from $2 billion to $800 million, management remains confident in Hong Kong's future prospects.
