TechFlow news, October 27 — According to Cointelegraph on October 26, cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has launched a new tool called "Based Agent." This tool enables users to create AI agents with cryptocurrency wallet functionality in under three minutes, capable of performing various on-chain tasks such as transactions, token swaps, and staking. Lincoln Murr, a developer at Coinbase, stated that the template is built on the Coinbase SDK, OpenAI, and the Replit platform, requiring only a Coinbase Developer Project API key and an OpenAI key for access.
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has recently been actively promoting the use of AI agents in the crypto space. On October 23, he publicly equipped the AI chatbot Truth Terminal with its own standalone crypto wallet. Additionally, James Ross, founder of Mode Network, predicts that by April 2025, over 80% of blockchain transactions could be executed by AI agents.
