TechFlow reported on October 24 that according to an official announcement, Tapioca DAO has declared its previous offer of a $1 million bounty to the hacker in exchange for the remaining $3.7 million stolen funds as expired. Currently, the Tapioca Foundation is collaborating with law enforcement agencies and multiple security teams, including ZeroShadow, Seal911, and the BNB Smart Chain team, as the majority of the stolen funds remain on the BNB Smart Chain. To facilitate the recovery of the stolen assets, the Tapioca Foundation is now offering a 10% reward to any individual or organization that provides actionable information or assistance leading to the fund recovery.
Earlier report: Tapioca suffered a social engineering attack on October 19, resulting in the theft of $4.7 million. The foundation had set a deadline for the hacker—October 22 at 4:00 PM UTC—but received no response.
