TechFlow News, October 17 — Tim Draper, a well-known Silicon Valley investor, stated on X that he has made roughly equal donations to both Kamala Harris's and Donald Trump's presidential campaigns.
He said, "This allows my wife and me to meet with both candidates and make a more informed decision. My conclusion is that both candidates are in the right place, although they would set the country on different paths. I remain optimistic that either path would be positive, and I support both candidates."
This move has drawn significant public criticism. Ryan Selkis, founder and former CEO of Messari, commented: "If you're so spineless that you can't support a president who won't allow our country to be overrun by criminal illegal immigrants (note: referring to Trump), then what's the point of being a billionaire? Silicon Valley folks are truly pathetic."
