TechFlow news, on October 16, crypto blogger Octopus Zhang (Zhangyuge.eth) stated on X that his exchange account had previously been frozen, but after one month of judicial review, the tens of millions of funds have now been released.
He explained that there was a deposit record between his hot wallet A and his Binance account. Later, hackers stole ETH from wallet A and used it for illegal activities. Law enforcement then traced back through the deposit records from wallet A to his exchange account, triggering the exchange's risk control measures.
In conclusion, the blogger issued a warning: "Many airdrop farmers typically hold hundreds or even thousands of wallets. A single wallet might seem insignificant to you, but if hackers use funds from it to commit crimes, you could still be investigated by law enforcement. In the future, properly secure every hot wallet, even if you think it holds little value."
