TechFlow reports on October 11 that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated via social media in 2022, "The primary value of Uniswap lies in enabling users to easily complete transactions within 30 seconds without much thinking. In such a scenario, a dedicated Uniswap chain or even a Rollup doesn't make sense. Instead, it's reasonable for each Rollup to have its own fork of Uniswap."
Yesterday, Uniswap Labs announced the launch of Unichain. Unichain is a fast, decentralized Optimism Superchain Layer 2, whose testnet has gone live today, with the mainnet expected to launch later this year.
