Documentary filmmaker Cullen Hoback confronts Todd in the film and presents evidence he has gathered. At the end of the film, Todd responds: "Well, yes, I am Satoshi."
However, this statement does not confirm that Todd is Bitcoin's true creator. It is reported that Todd frequently uses the phrase "I am Satoshi" to support the privacy rights of Bitcoin's founder. Todd himself has publicly denied being Bitcoin's creator on social media and has questioned the documentary's conclusions.
