TechFlow News, October 8 — According to Fortune, Kiva AI, a startup focused on developing domain-specific AI applications, has announced the completion of a $7 million seed funding round led by cryptocurrency venture capital firm Coinfund. Institutions including Protagonist, Hashkey, and Peer VC also participated in the round.
Kiva AI founder and CEO Ahmed Rashad said the company aims to provide specialized AI solutions for industries such as healthcare, finance, and law. The company adopts a "human-in-the-loop" approach, employing experts from around the world for data annotation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of its AI models—particularly in high-stakes areas like medical diagnosis and legal document analysis.
Rashad emphasized that Kiva AI creates additional income opportunities for high-skilled talent globally. The company plans to pay overseas experts in cryptocurrency, which not only offers greater value to the experts but also reduces operational costs. "We can easily pay experts more at higher margins," Rashad said. The funds raised will primarily support hiring senior engineers to build, sell, and deliver Kiva AI’s products.
