TechFlow news, on October 8, according to Cointelegraph, controversy has arisen over the WAP token promoted by renowned American rapper Cardi B on social platform X. Preliminary investigation by blockchain analyst Wazz indicates that the wallet address disclosed by Cardi B is linked to multiple rug pull projects. Blockchain security firm PeckShield suspects that Cardi B's X account may have been hacked.
However, Wazz refuted PeckShield's speculation, stating her account was not compromised: "This was a planned action, evidenced by multiple promotions, cartoons, and prior tweets. Also, you're looking at the wrong liquidity pool—the actual liquidity is $700,000."
Blockchain data visualization platform BubbleMaps found that 60% of the WAP token supply was locked upon launch. Furthermore, around $500,000 worth of tokens were dumped within 10 hours after the project launched. BubbleMaps also noted: "To evade tracking, all wallets involved in the lock-up transferred their tokens one-to-one to entirely new addresses four hours ago."
