TechFlow News, on October 3, according to official announcement, Aptos Labs has announced the acquisition of HashPalette, marking a strategic expansion into the Japanese market.
HashPalette Inc. is a subsidiary of HashPort Inc. and the developer of the Palette blockchain. Under the agreement, HashPort will migrate the Palette Chain and HashPalette's applications to the Aptos network, including the EXPO2025 digital wallet for the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Japan Expo.
Through this acquisition, Aptos will become the exclusive blockchain partner for the EXPO2025 digital wallet at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Japan Expo, while also strengthening its relationships with some of Japan’s most influential companies.
In addition, holders of Palette Chain’s governance token (PLT) are expected to be able to exchange their PLT tokens for APT—the native token of Aptos—starting at the end of November.
It should be noted that the transaction has not yet been finalized and is still undergoing final approval procedures.
