TechFlow news, according to IT Chosun, a senior executive from Kakao, a South Korean internet giant, is suing GroundX, Kakao's blockchain subsidiary, seeking approximately 10 billion won (7.6 million USD) in damages. The lawsuit stems from a hacking incident in March 2022, during which the executive's KakaoTalk account was compromised, resulting in cryptocurrencies stored in the integrated Klip wallet being stolen and transferred to overseas exchanges. A Kakao spokesperson stated that the company is currently undergoing integration and optimization of GroundX and lacks sufficient personnel to handle the matter at this time.
