TechFlow reported, according to the Wall Street Journal, that Apple (AAPL.O) has recently withdrawn from talks to participate in OpenAI's current funding round, which is expected to close next week. Two other tech giants, Microsoft (MSFT.O) and Nvidia (NVDA.O), have been in discussions to join the round.
Insiders familiar with the matter said Microsoft is expected to invest around $1 billion, adding to its previous investment of $13 billion.
Earlier report, on August 30, Apple was in talks to join OpenAI’s new funding round.
