TechFlow News – On September 27, Ryan Rzepecki, co-founder of MeshMap, announced on X that the MeshMap project has successfully raised $4 million in funding. The round was backed by multiple institutions including a16z CSX, Colosseum, Lattice, Escape Velocity, and GSR. Notable individual investors include Solana co-founders Anatoly Yakovenko (Toly) and Raj Gokal, as well as former Coinbase CTO Balaji Srinivasan.
MesMap is building a decentralized 3D world map and augmented reality (AR) content network. Rzepecki also revealed that the team is currently participating in the a16z CSX accelerator for fall 2024 in New York City, and will be launching AR events in NYC, Tokyo, and San Juan.
