TechFlow news — Wintermute has submitted a proposal to ArbitrumDAO on September 19 requesting approval of 250 million ARB tokens to strengthen strategic partnerships.
Wintermute stated that, compared to competitors, its budget available for strategic collaborations is relatively small, with only about 1.8% of allocated tokens currently usable. The proposal emphasizes that increasing the budget is critical for pursuing competitive partnerships, particularly in expanding the Orbit chain ecosystem, exploring new RWA opportunities, and bringing prominent TradFi institutions onto Arbitrum. If approved, the foundation will provide detailed disclosure on the use of this additional budget in its Q1 2025 annual transparency report.
The funds will not be used for operational expenses, but will instead focus on new protocols meeting specific criteria, including significant opportunities exceeding 2 million ARB, new agreements signed after proposal approval, and contract commitments lasting one year or longer.
