TechFlow reported on September 19 that, according to Protos, a man in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Russia's Far East, was arrested for sending cryptocurrency to the Ukrainian armed forces and now faces charges of treason. A video released by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) showed agents tackling the man to the ground and detaining him. According to Russian state media newspaper Izvestia, the cryptocurrency was allegedly used to "purchase weapons, ammunition, and military uniforms." It remains unclear what penalty the man could face if convicted. Notably, on September 17, a man in Mariupol was also charged with treason for leaking information about Russian military positions to Ukrainian intelligence agencies.
