TechFlow News, September 19 — According to Fortune, Solana-based DeFi platform Drift has announced a $25 million Series B funding round led by Multicoin Capital. In an exclusive interview, Drift co-founder Cindy Leow said the company aims to build Drift into the "Robinhood of crypto."
This round brings Drift's total funding to $52.5 million. The company plans to double its team from 25 to 50 employees within the next year to support business expansion. Notably, Drift is one of the few cryptocurrency companies led by women, with approximately half of its leadership team being female.
"Our vision is to build the foundational infrastructure for financial institutions on the blockchain. We plan to further expand our product offerings and improve execution speed," said Leow. Drift currently offers a suite of financial services tools, including spot and derivatives trading as well as prediction markets, all built on the Solana blockchain.
