TechFlow news: Bitcoin mining difficulty increased by 3.6% on Wednesday morning, reaching a record high of 92.67 trillion. This adjustment occurred at block height 860,832, surpassing the previous peak of 90.67 trillion set in late July. Earlier, Bitcoin's 7-day average hash rate hit a new high of 693.84 EH/s over the weekend.
Despite the halving event on April 20 reducing block rewards from 6.25 BTC to 3.125 BTC and significantly cutting miner revenues, miners appear to be collectively increasing their hash power since the hash rate bottomed at 550.25 EH/s on June 28.
