TechFlow News, September 10 — According to The Block, Japanese gaming blockchain Oasys has announced a partnership with SK Planet, a subsidiary of South Korean telecom giant SK Telecom, to expand its operations in South Korea. Oasys stated that the collaboration is expected to bring "millions of users" to its gaming ecosystem. SK Planet will become a validator on the Oasys network, enabling users to directly stake OAS tokens to SK Planet's node from their wallets.
SK Planet’s membership rewards platform, OK Cashbag, boasts 28 million members and partnerships with 75,000 merchants, offering Oasys a significant opportunity to penetrate the South Korean market. Additionally, SK Planet’s digital wallet, UPTN Station, will integrate the Oasys Hub. In February, Oasys partnered with Metabora SG, the Web3 gaming division of Kakao, and collaborated with South Korean game developer Com2uS to bring more games onto its platform.
