TechFlow News, according to Bloomberg, X (formerly Twitter) and Elon Musk are once again facing legal action. Three former Twitter executives—Sarah Personette, James Sullivan, and Dalana Brand—filed a lawsuit on September 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, claiming they were wrongfully denied over $53 million in severance payments.
The plaintiffs stated that after Musk's acquisition, their job responsibilities would be "materially and irreversibly changed," which constituted "good reason" for resignation, entitling them to severance benefits. The lawsuit alleges that Musk and Twitter employed bad-faith and deceptive tactics to evade these obligations, including abruptly cutting off the plaintiffs’ access to offices and computer systems, requiring participation in internal investigations without paying wages, and suddenly terminating them for "cause" over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Each plaintiff is seeking compensation ranging from $14 million to $21.8 million, along with payments due under their restricted stock unit agreements.
