TechFlow reports that on August 28, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin shared his views on social media, stating that airdrops are an ideal initial use case for validating zero-knowledge proofs, blockchain identity, credentials, and proof frameworks. Vitalik pointed out that airdrop objectives include distributing tokens to genuine community members, rewarding project contributors, maintaining relative fairness, and resisting malicious arbitrage. He noted these goals align closely with those of identity, credential, and proof frameworks, making token distribution a highly reasonable initial test case for such frameworks—especially for optimization and refinement in adversarial environments.
