TechFlow reports that Ethereum developers held their 140th All Core Devs Consensus (ACDC) call on the evening of August 22. The meeting covered development progress on the Pectra upgrade, including the newly released consensus layer specification v1.5.0-alpha.5 and the status of testnets.
Developers plan to launch Pectra Testnet 3 one week later and are considering updates to EIP-7251 and EIP-2935. The meeting also discussed a proposal to add a new field "ExecutionClientRequests" to beacon blocks, along with solutions for simplifying execution layer client block transitions.
Regarding PeerDAS, developers plan to launch Testnet 2 on August 23 and discussed the possibility of including EIP-7742 in the Pectra upgrade.
In addition, developers agreed to name the next consensus layer upgrade "Fulu," after a star in the constellation Cassiopeia. ProbeLabs also shared an analysis of message propagation in the Ethereum network layer following the Dencun upgrade.
