TechFlow news, cryptocurrency custodian Anchorage Digital announced on August 22 that it has launched a rewards program for clients holding PayPal USD (PYUSD) stablecoin. The program applies to clients who hold PYUSD either with Anchorage Digital or in its institutional self-custody wallet, Porto.
Notably, PYUSD remains fully accessible and segregated in participants' on-chain accounts, enabling quick deployment. Rewards are offered without requiring re-pledging, staking, or lending of the assets.
PayPal launched PYUSD in 2023, issued by Paxos Trust Company and pegged 1:1 to the U.S. dollar. As an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain, PYUSD is positioned to serve a large and growing external community of developers, wallets, and Web3 applications.
In addition, Coinbase currently offers approximately 5.2% annual yield on USDC.
