TechFlow news: This morning, Coinbase announced it will support Polygon's new ecosystem token POL. Starting August 26, Coinbase will migrate the token ticker from MATIC to POL on the Polygon network.
From August 26 to September 10, sending and receiving MATIC on the Polygon network will be temporarily suspended. On September 4, Coinbase will begin supporting POL on the Ethereum network. Users currently staking MATIC via Coinbase can continue staking and earning rewards. Coinbase plans to complete the full migration from MATIC to POL over the coming months, with a detailed timeline to be announced later. After the launch of POL ERC-20, Coinbase will continue to support trading of both MATIC and POL on Ethereum until further notice.
