TechFlow news, on August 21, according to Jinshi Data, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released preliminary benchmark revision data showing that nonfarm employment may have decreased by 818,000 over the 12 months through March, a significant downward revision from earlier reports. This translates to an average monthly decline of approximately 68,000 jobs, far below previous expectations.
Economists believe the initial figures might have been overstated due to factors such as business changes and statistics on undocumented immigrants. Notably, the release of this data was unusually delayed by more than 30 minutes, with no clear explanation provided. The final revised data will be published at the beginning of next year.
