TechFlow news: Adam, a macro researcher at Greeks.live, tweeted that today saw a significant increase in block trades, with notional value exceeding $500 million.
BTC block call options traded 3,643 BTC, accounting for 24% of the day's total volume, while block put options traded 2,084 BTC, representing 14% of total volume.
ETH block call options traded 31,430 ETH, making up 20% of the day's total volume, while block put options traded 28,488 ETH, accounting for 18% of total volume.
In terms of options trading distribution, the majority involved selling call options and buying put options, mostly executed as combined strategies. Given that BTC's short-to-medium-term implied volatility (IV) has now fallen below 50%, large options traders are showing strong bearish sentiment toward this month's market outlook.
