TechFlow News: An internal audit conducted in October last year by the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee revealed multiple employee violations. One employee, referred to as A, misused the organization's corporate card to purchase items such as beef worth approximately 600,000 KRW and embezzled a total of about 9.5 million KRW through forged documents and manipulation of internal emails. Of this amount, 3.5 million KRW was used by A for bitcoin investments.
In addition, A was found to have misappropriated approximately 4.6 million KRW using the corporate card at Japanese restaurants and other venues. The Korean Sport & Olympic Committee has dismissed A and filed legal charges with law enforcement authorities for embezzlement and fraud.
