TechFlow reports, Christine Kim, Head of Research at Galaxy, summarized the 194th Ethereum Execution Layer Developer call (ACDE). The meeting focused on testing progress for the Pectra upgrade and several technical improvement proposals. Pectra Devnet 2 has become stable, and developers plan to launch Devnet 3 in two weeks, with EOF to be included in the subsequent Devnet 4.
Prysm developers introduced EIP-7732, a proposal aiming to directly connect validators with third-party block builders without relying on intermediate relays.
Developers from Erigon and Geth proposed removing the "totalDifficulty" field from the execution API and pre-merge fields from Ethereum's wire protocol, respectively, to reduce technical debt.
The meeting also noted that regular Pectra test coordination calls will begin next Monday. Additionally, developers briefly discussed implementation progress on EIP-4444 (historical data expiry), with multiple client teams integrating with the Portal Network.
