TechFlow News — The Open Network Ventures (TON Ventures), a new venture capital firm founded by former senior members of the TON Foundation, has officially announced the launch of a $40 million fund aimed at supporting early-stage crypto projects within the TON ecosystem.
TON Ventures will focus primarily on consumer applications leveraging the Telegram social platform, including Telegram Mini Apps. In addition to funding, selected projects will gain access to a range of resources such as Telegram advertising, media exposure, and strategic partnerships.
TON Ventures is led by Ian Wittkopp, former Director of TON Accelerator, and Inal Kardan, former Head of Gaming at the TON Foundation.
Notably, the TON core team recently collaborated with Tonkeeper to introduce the W5 smart wallet standard, enabling gasless transactions on the TON blockchain and further lowering the barrier to entry for users joining the TON ecosystem.
