TechFlow news, White House National Security Council spokesperson Kirby said the United States is prepared to respond to a significant attack that Iran or its Middle Eastern proxies may launch this week.
Kirby stated that after Iran and Hamas blamed Israel for the assassination of a Hamas leader in Tehran last month, the U.S. has bolstered its military presence in the region and shares Israel's concerns about a potential Iranian attack.
"We share with the Israelis similar concerns and expectations regarding the possible timing (of the attack) by Iran—it could happen as early as this week. We must prepare for a range of significant attacks that might occur. Of course, we do not want to see Israel attacked again as it was in April, forcing it to defend itself. But if such a situation does arise, we will continue to help them defend themselves."
