TechFlow news, the decentralized exchange protocol Astroport released a latest announcement last night, detailing the recent attack incident. The attacker stole approximately 58 million ASTRO tokens, of which about 33 million ASTRO have been transferred to the Neutron network. Astroport stated that it has taken multiple measures to respond to this attack:
-
The ASTRO tokens held by the attacker on the Neutron network have been seized and are currently stored in the Astroport treasury.
-
The attacker's address on the Terra network has been blacklisted and is unable to conduct any transactions.
-
The IBC Hook vulnerability has been patched.
-
The attacker has swapped approximately 13 million ASTRO for 124,000 axlUSDC and transferred them to an Ethereum address.
-
The remaining approximately 20 million ASTRO tokens on the Terra network have been blacklisted and cannot be transferred.
The Astroport team is working closely with the Terra team to seek solutions. They commit to providing a more detailed description of the incident later this week and will release further updates and more accurate data as soon as possible.
