TechFlow news — token sale platform Coinlist announced the relaunch of its token auction mechanism. After conducting 14 fixed-price token sales consecutively in 2024, the platform has decided to reintroduce its auction-based model designed to facilitate price discovery: the Coinlist Auction.
Coinlist previously held three token auctions in 2020 for Solana (closing price: $0.22/SOL), Flow (closing price: $0.38/FLOW), and Celo (closing price: $1.00/CELO).
The revived auction mechanism will be further improved. The auction will take the form of a sealed-bid auction, where a single seller and multiple buyers collectively determine the final clearing price. All successful participants will purchase tokens at a uniform price. Participants must ensure their Coinlist accounts have passed KYC verification and are in good standing.
Participants will receive notification of results within 48 hours after the auction ends. Coinlist stated that the first auction will be held soon, though no specific date was disclosed.
