TechFlow reported, according to Bitcoin Magazine CEO David Bailey, former U.S. President Donald Trump raised approximately $21 million during his appearance at the Bitcoin 2024 conference on July 27. This marks Trump as the first major candidate to deliver a speech at a cryptocurrency conference.
The funds were primarily raised through a fundraising event held at Nashville's Music City Center, attended by around 100 people, making it Trump’s "second-highest fundraising event."
It was reported that participation in Trump's "roundtable discussion" cost up to $844,600 per person, while a photo opportunity required at least $60,000. Attendees included prominent industry figures such as Gemini co-founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss. Trump pledged serious reforms to the U.S. regulatory environment, earning broad support from the cryptocurrency industry.
Since beginning to accept digital asset donations in May, Trump's campaign had raised $4 million in cryptocurrency prior to the conference, with over $2.15 million coming from just 19 donors.
In 2022, Trump personally reported holding between $100,000 and $250,000 in cryptocurrency. As of now, his campaign has raised a total of $221 million, with a cash reserve of $128 million.
