TechFlow News — Michael Saylor, co-founder of MicroStrategy, delivered a speech at Bitcoin 2024 in Nashville on July 26, forecasting that Bitcoin's price could reach $13 million by 2045—up from his previous June estimate of $10 million. Saylor stated this is a base-case scenario, with a bear case of $3 million and a bull case reaching $49 million.
Saylor advised individuals, corporations, and nations to fully transition their assets into Bitcoin. He argued that all physical capital is subject to the law of entropy and loses value over time, whereas Bitcoin, as an "immortal, immutable, and non-physical" asset, offers a solution to economic distress.
As of June 20, MicroStrategy held 226,331 bitcoins, representing a total investment of approximately $8.33 billion, with an average purchase price of $36,798 per bitcoin, making it one of the largest publicly traded corporate holders of Bitcoin globally.
