TechFlow News — On July 26, Lisk announced via official channels that a community vote will be held from September 24 to October 1 to decide whether to burn 100 million LSK tokens, approximately 25% of the total supply. This vote will take place through the newly established Lisk DAO, aiming to strengthen community governance.
If the vote passes, the 100 million LSK tokens will be permanently removed, reducing the total supply to 300 million. If the vote is rejected, the tokens will remain in the Lisk DAO fund and are planned for distribution between 2027 and 2033 to support community projects and innovation.
