TechFlow News, July 26 — According to Cointelegraph, asset management giant Franklin Templeton has signed a cooperation agreement with Japanese financial services firm SBI Holdings to jointly establish a new exchange-traded fund (ETF) management company focused on cryptocurrencies. This joint venture aims to provide next-generation investors with more diversified investment tools, including digital assets and cryptocurrencies.
Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson stated that this strategic partnership will enable broader access to crypto ETFs among younger investors and bring fresh capital into underlying digital assets, potentially driving price appreciation. The announcement comes shortly after the U.S. launched its first spot Ethereum ETF on July 23. SBI Holdings CEO Yoshitaka Kitao said the company aims to further advance its Web3 initiatives through this joint venture. A spokesperson for Franklin Templeton noted that crypto ETFs may be launched in the future, depending on Japan's regulatory framework.
