TechFlow news: The OKX Web3 Runes marketplace has added support for merged runes in its inscription feature, reducing users' minting costs and simplifying the rune listing process. Users can now freely choose to inscribe as either merged runes or the original standalone runes. Compared to creating each rune as a separate entity, merging multiple runes into a single one can save up to 29% in gas fees.
For example, under the standalone rune mode, if a user mints 20 units of rune A, they will receive 20 individual units of rune A. In merged rune mode, if a user mints 20 units of rune A, they will receive a single merged rune containing all 20 units of rune A.
