TechFlow reports, on July 11, according to Cointelegraph, the UK Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has issued a warning that fraudsters are impersonating lawyers and demanding Bitcoin payments via email. The scam emails claim to have copied all personal data of recipients and threaten to release harmful videos unless Bitcoin is paid. The domain "@attwaters.co" used in the emails is not associated with the legitimate law firms Attwaters Solicitors or Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors. The SRA advises that if suspicious emails are received, individuals should directly contact the law firm through reliable channels to verify the authenticity of the message.
