TechFlow news: The Bank of France (BDF) and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) have announced collaboration in the field of wholesale central bank digital currencies (wCBDC). This cooperation includes HKMA's participation in the second phase of the European Central Bank's Eurosystem exploratory work. The two institutions have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at innovation in wCBDC and tokenized markets, with a focus on interoperability between their infrastructures—BDF's DL3S and HKMA's Ensemble Sandbox.
BDF First Deputy Governor Denis Beau and HKMA Executive Director Howard Lee highlighted the initiative's potential to promote financial inclusion and advance the development of global tokenized markets.
