TechFlow news, according to Cointelegraph, so far in 2024, 2,564 cryptocurrency ATMs have been installed, on track to offset the 2,861 units removed in 2023. Over the past 12 months, the global total of cryptocurrency ATMs surged by 17.8% to reach 38,279 units, approaching the all-time high of 39,541 set in December 2022.
Over 82% of the world's cryptocurrency ATMs are located in the United States, with Canada ranking second at 7.7%. Australia has seen a dramatic surge in installations, increasing nearly 17-fold over the past two years to reach 1,107 machines. At the current installation pace, Australia is poised to surpass Europe’s total of 1,584 ATMs. Other countries and regions with notable cryptocurrency ATM deployments include Spain (313), Poland (279), El Salvador (215), Germany (177), and Hong Kong (169). Cryptocurrency ATMs are now present in 72 countries and regions worldwide.
