TechFlow reported, according to The Block, that top Silicon Valley investor and Founders Fund co-founder Peter Thiel confirmed he still holds bitcoin, reiterating his previous statement that he wishes he had bought more earlier.
In a CNBC interview on Thursday, when asked whether he had sold any bitcoin, Thiel said: "I still hold some bitcoin. I didn't buy as much as I should have." However, Thiel expressed skepticism about bitcoin's price potential, adding: "I'm not sure it will go up significantly from here."
Founders Fund began investing in bitcoin in 2014 and reportedly made $1.8 billion by selling before the market crash in 2022. Thiel has long been a supporter of bitcoin, though he remains cautious about its future price trajectory.
